Packaging Artworker

We are currently seeking an experienced Packaging Artworker to join a thriving enterprise. As a member of a dynamic and encouraging team, you’ll engage with diverse design concepts and create packaging artwork for prominent retailers.

This role requires a sharp attention to detail, proficiency in working with cutter guides and brand directives, the capability to generate print-ready artwork, and adeptness in proofreading and scrutinising artwork for print quality. Collaboration is key as you’ll closely with the wider team.

Key responsibilities for this Packaging Artworker role:

  • Developing print-ready artwork, ensuring precision and adherence to guidelines from provided design concepts.
  • Conducting thorough proofreading and quality checks for print-ready artwork.
  • Efficiently collaborating with the wider team to ensure a smooth workflow and punctual delivery.
  • Arranging back-of-pack details.
  • Assisting the broader design team with spontaneous requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all artwork meets established standards and guidelines.
  • Organise and manage digital files
  • Uphold brand consistency across various packaging designs and collateral, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Stay informed about advancements in printing technologies and incorporate new techniques that enhance the visual appeal of packaging.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise multiple projects, ensuring that all deadlines are met without compromising quality.

Experience required for this Packaging Artworker role:

  • Demonstrable experience in packaging design with a portfolio illustrating past work.
  • Strong understanding of typography principles, including font selection, spacing, and readability.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for packaging, including legal and industry-specific standards.
  • Familiarity with cutter guides and layout techniques.
  • Competency in both Windows and Mac operating systems, with basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Collaborative nature as an esteemed team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration within the team and while interacting with clients.
