Product Administrator / Production Coordinator
We’re working with a well-established consumer products business that designs and develops products for major UK retailers. It’s a growing company with a loyal, long-standing team and a friendly, sociable culture and they are now looking for an organised administrator to join their production team!
If you enjoy keeping things on track, love a well-planned spreadsheet and would like to be in a role where you could see products you’ve worked on make it to the shelves of global retailers ten this could be a great next step!
As Product Administrator, you’ll join a small, supportive production team and be trained by an experienced manager as you learn the ropes. It’s a nicely balanced role. Part of it is classic admin and organisation, and part of it is hands-on with the products themselves, from first samples through to the finished item arriving in store.
What you’ll be doing
- Keeping product timelines (critical paths) up to date so everything is delivered on time
- Day-to-day contact with suppliers in the UK and overseas
- Working with design, account management, quality and operations colleagues to keep projects moving
- Reviewing new samples and helping approve products before production
- Briefing in and signing off packaging artwork and instruction leaflets
- Completing customer paperwork so new products are set up correctly with retailers
What you’ll bring
- At least a year’s experience in an admin or coordination role. Production or product experience is a bonus, but general administration, sales admin, events, operations or similar backgrounds are just as welcome
- Strong organisation and a good eye for detail
- Confidence communicating with different teams and keeping things moving in a friendly, positive way
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- A proactive approach and the ability to juggle a few things at once
- Someone who enjoys working independently but also likes being part of a team
- An interest in how products are made would be great, but you’ll be taught the detail
