Operations Manager, design-led consumer brand (REF 1236)

  • Up to £65,000
  • London (office based)

We’re working with a fast-growing, creatively driven consumer brand that’s looking for a hands-on and solutions-focused Operations Manager to make a real impact across supply chain, logistics, and fulfilment, supporting the delivery of beautiful, design-led products to over 90 countries.

If you’ve got a strong background in wholesale operations and experience of optimising processes then we would love to hear from you.

This is a critical hire for a business at the intersection of their creative and operational excellence. The role suits someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment and enjoys getting stuck into both strategy and day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end operations function, including supply chain, fulfilment, inventory, and logistics, ensuring efficient delivery across both B2B and D2C channels.
  • Act as the operational link between production, sales, and third-party logistics providers, ensuring strong alignment across the board.
  • Manage inventory and stock allocation across multiple sales platforms, ensuring real-time visibility and accuracy.
  • Oversee international logistics including customs, compliance, and cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with warehouses and shipping partners to streamline distribution from multiple sites.
  • Lead on systems and IT management, liaising with providers to troubleshoot and optimise performance (CRM, order management, etc.).
  • Own the operational performance metrics, developing and tracking KPIs that drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance product listings across e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Faire etc.), ensuring a seamless customer journey.
  • Act as a key liaison between HQ and the external warehouse, championing communication and operational alignment.
  • Lead and inspire a small, capable team, creating a culture of accountability, autonomy, and collaboration.
  • Take a proactive, hands-on approach to resolving challenges and improving processes on the fly.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Solid experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain within a product-based, fast-moving environment – preferably in categories such as apparel, homeware, stationery, or lifestyle.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with confidence negotiating with suppliers and partners.
  • Demonstrated experience managing international fulfilment and compliance, including exports and regulatory changes.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a natural ability to coach and inspire.
  • Highly organised with a process-driven approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident using Excel, CRM platforms, and supply chain tools.
  • Experience in a scaling or SME business where agility and adaptability are essential.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the operations function within a creative and ambitious business. If you’re energised by solving problems, driving efficiency, and building high-performing teams—we’d love to hear from you.

Diversity & Inclusion: ILMJ is committed to building an inclusive team. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
