We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Product Technologist to join a successful brand as part of their Product team. You will work closely with the PD team, the Far East sourcing and compliance team, and with a global supplier base to bring sustainable and complaint products to market across their ranges.

In this role you will help to ensure all products manufactured are compliant with current safety standards, and all necessary testing has been carried out. We are looking for someone who has some product compliance experience, a love of product, is organised, deadline driven, and has a keen interest in sustainability to join this successful, innovative business.

Duties will include:

  • Build and maintain excellent supplier relationships, ensuring information is communicated in a timely manner, including all technical data and audits
  • Work with external testing houses, arranging applicable tests, and ensuring all required certification is obtained and is in line with required critical path deadlines
  • Form strong working relationships with internal teams, supporting the NPD team on product and technical matters as needed
  • Review artwork and packaging safety text, ensuring all information is accurate and compliant prior to production
  • Track and manage any quality or testing issues, working with suppliers to resolve any problems, proposing positive resolutions
  • Manage and maintain technical data and certification, ensuring test files are complete and up to date before shipment
  • Look at sustainability, working with suppliers to ensure products are being made ethically and as eco-friendly as possible
  • Assist with arranging factory audits

Skills & experience required:

  • 2-3 years’ experience within a Junior Product Technologist, Product Coordinator, QA or similar role within a consumer product business
  • An eye for detail, accurate, and an excellent multi-tasker who is deadline driven
  • A first-class communicator and people person, with the ability to communicate clearly and positively across all levels, both internally and externally
  • Experience working with global vendors and testing houses
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • A positive attitude, friendly, flexible, and a team player!
