Product Manager / Buyer (REF 1271)

  • Up to £65,000 DOE
  • Remote

A successful international consumer product brand known for their innovation, sustainability and highly commercial ranges, is looking for a Product Manager / Buyer to lead the go-to-market strategy and range planning for its Home & Outdoor categories across European territories.

This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of product, sales, and supply chain – ideal for a commercially minded operator who thrives on shaping ranges that work across home, DIY, grocery, and garden centre channels.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Define and manage the product portfolio for Europe in alignment with global product teams.
  • Act as the European product authority – owning packaging specs, pricing, margin alignment, and documentation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in innovation, sales, supply chain, and marketing to bring the right products to market.
  • Build and maintain assortment plans and product channel strategies tailored to customer and territory needs.
  • Collaborate with international suppliers to validate landed costs, challenge pricing structures, and ensure competitive shelf pricing across Europe.
  • Support the execution of the European product roadmap, balancing commercial goals with market insights.

Product Launch & Sales Enablement

  • Champion the launch process for new products, managing samples, sales kits, pricing lists, and training materials.
  • Act as a central resource for the sales team for all product-related deliverables.
  • Ensure teams are equipped with effective tools and collateral to drive customer engagement.
  • Coordinate planogram inputs and retail merchandising strategies with Sales & Design.

Insights & Analysis

  • Conduct regular comp shops and gather pricing, spec, and trend data across markets.
  • Create market-facing reports, gap analyses, and price ladders to guide strategic decisions.
  • Monitor post-launch product performance and provide actionable insights to shape future strategy.

Continuous Improvement & Team Support

  • Bring process improvement ideas forward to streamline execution and drive efficiency.
  • Support and mentor packaging specialists as they grow into direct ownership of their areas.
  • Ensure alignment with health, safety, and quality standards across all product workflows.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in product strategy, buying or merchandising – ideally within consumer goods, home or garden categories.
  • Experience working in or with European retail markets across grocery, DIY, and home improvement channels.
  • Proven ability to manage product portfolios and influence range decisions across diverse retail formats.
  • Strong commercial acumen – comfortable with cost structures, pricing models, and margin analysis.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; able to communicate data and strategy clearly.
  • Organised, proactive, and confident in leading cross-functional collaboration.
  • Able to travel internationally to attend customer meetings, trade shows, or supplier visits as required.

Why Join?

  • Work with an agile, international business that values creativity, commercial thinking, and customer insight.
  • Play a key role in shaping category success across diverse European retail markets.
  • Gain exposure to senior stakeholders and make a visible impact on the commercial success of key ranges.
  • Remote working with flexibility and autonomy – supported by a collaborative team culture.
