Senior Designer, gifting & stationery (3483969)

Senior Designer, gifting & stationery

  • Competitive Salary
  • London

Award-winning consumer products company, well-known for their playful, commercial ranges is recruiting for a talented Senior Designer to join their growing, creative team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded senior level designer to create trend-driven, impactful product and on-pack graphics that stand out on shelf and inspire customers globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Product Development and Production from early concept stages, shaping ideas and translating briefs into creative product solutions.
  • Create compelling designs (packaging and on-pack graphics) that excite retailers and delight end customers.
  • Develop packaging and graphic design across both new launches and existing ranges, ensuring consistency, storytelling and category-leading innovation.
  • Proactively research and interpret design and packaging trends within gifting and the wider consumer landscape, bringing fresh inspiration to the team.
  • Balance creativity with commercial awareness, producing designs that are innovative while meeting brand, licensor and retailer requirements.
  • Produce and amend artwork to a high standard, meeting deadlines, critical path milestones and technical specifications with precision and attention to detail.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • 5 years’ commercial design experience within consumer retail products.
  • Experience of working on packaging – cutter guide experience ideal but not essential.
  • A portfolio that showcases exceptional graphic and packaging design work.
  • An ability to thrive in a culture where ideas are challenged; confident receiving and acting on constructive feedback to elevate creative work.
  • Comfortable with creative autonomy, you can take an open brief and run with it, exploring, experimenting and presenting clear routes with conviction.
  • Unafraid of a blank page, you embrace creative freedom and push ideas forward.
  • Naturally curious, you are an ideas-driven designer who actively seeks inspiration and brings fresh thinking to the table.
  • Strong eye for design, colour, layout and storytelling, with the ability to turn a brief into commercially exciting products.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience working with licensed brands as well as non-licensed product (advantageous).
  • Highly organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working at pace in a busy environment.
  • A confident communicator and collaborative team player, able to work cross-functionally with clarity and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of the UK retail landscape and an understanding of what makes products stand out in a competitive market.
