Compliance & Sustainability Manager (B Corp Lead)

London £60,000 Hybrid

We are partnering with an ambitious, design-led consumer brand seeking an experienced Compliance & Sustainability Manager to take ownership of its B Corp recertification and broader ESG agenda.

This is a senior, hands-on position with responsibility for embedding responsible business practices across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will lead B Corp strategy, oversee ESG governance and data integrity, support regulatory readiness, and deliver enhanced product traceability programmes, including Digital Product Passports.

This role suits a detail-oriented and commercially aware professional who enjoys building structured frameworks, working cross-functionally, and driving measurable progress within a growing brand environment.

Key Responsibilities:

B Corp Strategy & ESG Leadership

  • Act as the internal lead for B Corp certification and recertification cycles
  • Own improvement roadmaps, coordinating actions across departments to strengthen impact performance
  • Ensure business operations remain aligned with B Corp principles and evolving ESG best practice
  • Maintain policies, governance documentation, and audit-ready evidence

ESG Reporting, Systems & Controls

  • Establish and manage robust ESG data collection and validation processes
  • Map environmental and social metrics to recognised reporting frameworks, including emerging European requirements (e.g., CSRD)
  • Implement structured internal controls to ensure consistency, traceability, and assurance readiness
  • Support submission processes for B Corp and other sustainability-related disclosures

Regulatory Compliance & Digital Product Passports

  • Monitor upcoming UK and EU sustainability and product legislation
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical internal procedures and supplier expectations
  • Lead the implementation of Digital Product Passports, defining required data sets, supplier workflows, and scalable product record systems

Product Compliance & Documentation

  • Support technical product compliance activities and documentation management
  • Ensure alignment between compliance obligations, sustainability standards, and responsible marketing claims

Supplier Onboarding & Responsible Sourcing

  • Manage ESG and compliance requirements within supplier onboarding processes
  • Coordinate factory audits and track corrective action plans
  • Engage suppliers on traceability, transparency, and responsible sourcing initiatives
  • Training & Continuous Improvement
  • Deliver internal training and guidance on B Corp standards and ESG requirements
  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across teams

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in ESG, sustainability, compliance, or technical roles within fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods sectors
  • Direct involvement in leading B Corp certification or recertification processes
  • Strong understanding of ESG reporting expectations and governance controls
  • Working knowledge of UK/EU product compliance and sustainability regulation
  • Experience delivering cross-functional implementation projects
  • Strong analytical and systems capability, particularly in product and supply chain data
  • Desirable
  • Experience implementing Digital Product Passports or traceability programmes
  • Familiarity with PLM, ERP, or supplier data management systems
