A well-established UK-based gift and beauty company with decades of experience of suppling licensed and lifestyle products to major UK and global retailers, is seeking a detail-oriented Artworker to join their product development team.

In this role, you’ll turn creative concepts into accurate, print-ready artwork that meets brand guidelines and deadlines. Working across a range of brands and custom product lines, you’ll ensure the smooth transition from design to production.

You’ll need 3 years of experience in artworking consumer products and packaging, with strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Expertise in packaging cutter guides and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience in the licensing industry would be a plus. A ‘Day in the Life’ in this Artworker:

  • Taking Briefs: Accurately taking briefs from the product development team. Getting to the route of their requirements and asking intelligent questions to understand expectations and deliverables.
  • Artwork Production: Create and prepare print-ready and digital artwork files for new products and packaging.
  • Liaise with factories to perfect cutter guides and resolve any print or packaging issues.
  • Brand Compliance: Ensure all artwork aligns with the specific brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in typography, colour schemes, imagery, and overall aesthetic within each brand.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with designers, copywriters, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver on briefs effectively and efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on all artwork to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications before final production or publication.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in artwork production techniques, software, and technologies. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance workflow efficiency and output quality.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate with internal teams and external suppliers to coordinate artwork production processes, resolve any issues, and ensure smooth project execution.

Skills & Experience required for this Artworker role:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role ideally within a consumer product environment.
  • Experience of working within the licensing industry would be ideal, with knowledge of the approval platforms and processes a huge advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of CS Cloud software, particularly Illustrator.
  • Great eye for detail.
  • Able to translate and execute written briefs.
  • Comfortable liaising with factories to send and receive artworks in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to maintain a clear line of communication across all relevant departments.
  • Flexible with the ability to work on several projects running at the same time.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Good time management to ensure deadlines are met and critical paths are maintained.
