International Account Manager, consumer products (REF 1291)

Job purpose:
As International Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing international retailer and distributor accounts, developing new customer relationships, assessing the performance of distributors and retailers, and driving business growth.
Sales Strategy Execution and Analysis:
- Execute the sales strategy, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, and profit and loss (P&L) targets.
- Analyse the performance of current retail and distribution accounts year-over-year (YOY), identifying gaps for growth and improvement, and taking appropriate action.
- Utilise data-driven insights to make informed business decisions, identify growth opportunities, and leverage market trends and customer preferences.
- Develop effective sales plans, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to specific channels, ensuring their successful implementation to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Provide regular sales reports and performance analysis to management, highlighting key insights and recommending strategies for improvement.
New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to activate and build the sales pipeline across all channels.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the brand and build new partnerships.
Relationship Building and Collaboration:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with international retail and distribution partners, ensuring their satisfaction, loyalty, and continued business.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align strategies and support business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales Operations to ensure operational excellence is achieved once orders are placed.

Experience & skills required:
- Demonstrated experience in international wholesale sales within a consumer products business
- Must have approached and won new business,
- Experience of working directly with international distributors and retail buyers, from independents through to key accounts
- Knowledge and understanding of Faire, Ankorstore or other marketplaces would be ideal
- Good face-to-face skills and strong organisation skills
- A proactive and driven approach
