Are you passionate about creating trend driven products that make an impact? We have an exciting opportunity for a super creative Product Developer to join a successful brand that sells to leading retailers around the globe.

This company designs and develops all of its products from scratch, creating innovative, fun, and high-quality items for leading retailers worldwide. You will play a key role in bringing ideas to life – coming up with new product concepts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring seamless product development from concept to delivery. Key responsibilities:

  • Create new product ideas through trend spotting, competitor research, attending trade fairs, and team brainstorming
  • Reimagine and improve existing products to keep the ranges exciting and relevant
  • Shape early ideas into tangible, customer-ready products, from concept to shelf
  • Test and refine products to ensure they deliver fun, function, and value
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to prepare compelling product proposals and sample presentations for customers
  • Attend customer meetings to present ideas, capture feedback, and spot opportunities
  • Work hand-in-hand with Design, Content, and Technical teams to make every detail shine, from materials to messaging
  • Build strong relationships with global suppliers,  ensuring clarity, quality, and innovation in every quote and sample
  • Source the best components and sustainable materials that align with both company and customer goals
  • Negotiate with suppliers to deliver high-quality products to target margins
  • Maintain a sharp eye for production risks, collaborating with Tech and Production teams to solve challenges early
  • Keep projects on track by maintaining accurate product specs and artwork trackers
  • Brief design and technical teams clearly, ensuring every product tells its story beautifully and correctly
  • Check artwork and samples for brand integrity, IP compliance, and creative excellence
  • Sign off products from artwork to pre-mass samples,  ensuring they’re production-ready and on brand

Skills and experience required:

  • 5 years’ Product Development experience within consumer products, ideally within gifting or similar sector
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of production critical paths, including creation and project management
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment, with proven ability to manage critical paths for a high number of SKUs in one season
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Teams, Monday.com, or Salesforce platforms is beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and with suppliers
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset with a passion for great product
