Product Developer (REF 1228)

• Up to £50,000 DOE
• London + hybrid

We are working with a leading gift brand that creates products for leading retailers globally. They are looking for an experienced and innovative Product Developer to join their product team to work across a number of their product categories.

You will have a strong creative and commercial eye, and experience developing market-leading, innovative products for their key account retail clients. Managing the full product development lifecycle, you will be proactive, an excellent project manager, and have experience working with global factories. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong wholesale PD experience looking to join a company with a great culture and team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the market
  • Create concept and artwork briefs for the graphic design team
  • Manage product development timelines and critical paths, ensuring projects meet key stakeholder expectations
  • Work with suppliers on product costings and negotiations across all brands and categories
  • Manage supplier relationships, including maintaining and growing existing relationships and identifying and establishing new ones
  • Collaborate and ensure communication flow across cross-function teams, including product development, design, sales and operations
  • Perform sample assessments on new products to ensure all products meet quality standards
  • Prepare customer facing product presentations to pitch new products and showcase our brands
  • Managing PD trackers to ensure on time in full execution

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong product development experience working within gifting, stationery, beauty or related product category
  • Proven experience working with the Far East
  • Experience working on briefs from major / key account retailers
  • Commercial, creative and trend aware
  • Excellent project management skills and a great multi-tasker with excellent attention to detail
  • A pro-active and driven approach, thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive nature and a great team player
