Senior Packaging Artworker (REF 1277)

  • Up to £35,000 DOE
  • Surrey – office based 

We are currently seeking a talented Senior Packaging Artworker with experience in retail packaging artwork to join a successful and well established business. Working as part of a creative and supportive team, you will work on a diverse range of design concepts and artwork packaging for leading retailers both here in the UK and worldwide.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, and experience working with cutter guides, brand guidelines, and laying out back of pack information. You will be a key member of the design team, and will collaborate closely with other departments across the business too to create top quality print ready artwork.

Key responsibilities for this Packaging Artworker role:

  • Creation of high quality, accurate product and packaging artwork files for their client base
  • Collaborating with the wider design team and departments across the business to execute print-ready artwork based on approved creative concepts and design briefs
  • Ensuing all artwork files are prepared with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, as well as meeting legal standards and adhering to brand guidelines
  • Collaborating with the procurement team to address any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the printing and manufacturing process
  • Conducting thorough quality checks on all artworks files to verify accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of print ready artwork files for production

Experience required for this Packaging Artworker role:

  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience with 3D software a benefit but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in packaging design, with the ability to create cutter guides and mock up samples for testing
  • Experience laying out back of pack information including legal requirements such as hazard warnings, barcodes, and regulatory compliance to ensure artwork meets industry standards.
  • Technical expertise with a good understanding of print production processes, colour management, and printing across different material, formats & finishes
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, diligence, and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Adaptive mindset to handle evolving requirements.
  • Enthusiasm for the field and eagerness to learn, a collaborative nature and team player
