Junior Product Developer, Creative Consumer Products

Are you bursting with ideas, obsessed with retail trends, and excited by the journey from concept to shelf-ready product? We’re looking for a Junior Product Developer to join a fast-paced, creative team where innovation, collaboration, and product excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves products, retail, and bringing ideas to life. You’ll work closely with suppliers, designers, sales teams, and customers to help create engaging, commercially successful products that customers genuinely love.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Bringing New Product Ideas to Life

• Research trends, competitors, customer insights, trade fairs, and market opportunities to spark fresh product innovation
• Support the development of exciting new products from concept through to finished product
• Help create eye-catching packaging concepts alongside the design team
• Identify opportunities to improve and evolve existing product ranges
• Organise and participate in product playtesting sessions
• Support customer proposals by sourcing samples and tailoring product ideas to specific briefs

Building Strong Supplier & Customer Relationships

• Work closely with Key Account Managers to understand customer needs and deliver innovative product solutions
• Build great relationships with suppliers and develop a strong understanding of their capabilities
• Create clear supplier briefs and manage product specifications
• Support sustainability initiatives and ensure customer requirements are maintained throughout development
• Assist with cost engineering and pricing negotiations to achieve target margins
• Coordinate product, packaging, and component samples throughout development

Managing Product Detail & Delivery

• Review products and artwork, create and manage artwork trackers for customer orders
• Ensure artwork approvals are delivered to suppliers on time and in line with production schedules
• Review spec sheets, pre-production samples, and final artwork before mass production

• Someone who enjoys collaborating with different teams and external suppliers
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude
• An interest in trends, packaging, retail, gifting, games, or consumer products is a big plus
